The Malvadas it is an archipielago of islands in the southeast of southern Ushaenor, that originated after The Cataclysm of the 2675 a.a.H, that originated as large parts of Ushaenor sank into sea, forming the archipielago.
History[]
Before the Cataclysm[]
The Malvadas, before the cataclysm, corresponded with the territory of the Hake city of Slägol in the west (part of the Hake Kingdom of Asbaran), divided by a tip of sea from Hiel, an ancient Hake city conquered by the High Elves during the elfic wars, that dependended of the "mark of the south" of the Whide Axis, the kingdom of Alesdale.
For long, there was tensions and skirmishes in their borders and some full out wars, with various results and instability in the region.
This was later used by the Caliphate of the Orange Sun of Blazakhov (see: Blazakhov), that forced their presence in their region, setting colonies in the region, that will become a battlefield during the Third War of the Power.
The Malvadas Archipielago and the Warring Kingdoms of the Malvados[]
With the Cataclysm, the presence of the Caliphate of the Orange Sun will fade, not only in this region but all over Ushaenor, due the disruption of their trade lines:
large regions of southern Ushaenor will sink -as Exemig-, which forced population to migrate.
While Slägol, Hiel and others parts will be spared of the sinking, they where left as dispersed islands -the Malvadas-.
There will rise several small warring kingdoms -the Warring Kingdoms of the Malvados- of Hake dark elf, High elves, blazakhovian kanovs and humans, small realms who often did alliances with the nations of the mainlands, in one or other direction, providing some support to them, in exchange of short lived hegemonies.
The Republic of the Malvados[]
They will become a contested region between Soldarmia and Silveria first, and as results of the silverian-soldarmian wars will some local factions who had fought there declare the creation of the Republic of the Malvadas: a short lived republic, as later several of the southern Ushaverican empires, due personal unions of their monarchies, will become part of the JPM, and the Malvadas will be annexed to the personal union.
After the Anglasecuarnian wars, will come a slow tearing appart of the JPM. With Silveria out of the empire -and as a republic-, they didn't recogniced the declaration of independence of the Republic of Malvadas from JPM and will annex them, which will cause the JPM-Silverian war, as Sao Azil still was part of the JPM personal union.
Silverian efforts will prove ultimately fruitless, and the Malvadas remained under JPM sphere of influence -much to the dissapointment of the malvados, who wanted independence-.
Later, they will have a revolutionary war of independence -supported by Silveria-, achieving the wanted independence. However, Silveria began to put pressure on them for them to join the federal republic of Silveria, so the Malvados began to seek foreign support elsewhere.
They will finally find this support in Anuchia, who will guarantee their independence.
But in this guarantee of independence, the Malvadas will became an Anuchian protectorade, -a suzerainty- , where the Malvadas where trubutary to Anuchia, that controlled its foreign affairs while they where allowed internal autonomy.
This nutkian dependence will last long, but will see interruptions caused by GOFFY invasions and coup d'etats, and as well other foreign invasions.
