Phaere Vrinn  ( 2209, Negeémiliel - ? ), as well known as Queen Vrinn II or the Errant Queen was the successor and daughter of Queen Miz'ri Vrinn I, briefly the queen of Negeémiliel -with a regency council- and for long a pretender to the Drow throne.

Overview

Political

When her mother died at the Battle of the Titanizk Mountains, Phaere Vrinn was underage and hadn't power to claim succession of her mother, and while some of her mother generals tried to held regency for her, at the 2221 a.a.H the Council of the Regents and Queen Phaere Vrinn were defenestrated, and Negeémiliel pulled out of the Dark Legion of Demons.

She will be raised as an exiled, traveling across several drow city-states and cities with her errant court, pretending the throne of Negeémiliel and organizing all sorts of machinations and complots to try to return to power with her faction of the monarchists, often having secret correspondence and contact with political opposition and members of the populist party in Negeémiliel.

By the time of the Second War of the Power, she joined the Dark Legion, hoping to regain control of Negeémiliel, but instead had another role to play.

Cultural Significance While in Exile

The Queen of Negeémiliel for most of the Middle Human Age, almost every political conspiracy, palace cup, treason, assassination that happened in Negeémiliel was said at some moment, in whispers, said to be the evil doing of the wicked Exiled Queen and their agents, supposed to be ever present, bringing disease, making crops fail, poisoning wells, producing inflation in the prices of first need products, dropping the prices of the Spidersilk...

While often this proved to be wrong and the figure of the wicked Queen rose to become a popular myth of a drow woman that made alliances and bedded demons, wringing harm and chaos and used to scare the children -at least, the children of the Acolytes of the Senatorial Party and traditionalist commoners-, it was based in an existing figure:

Phaere Vrinn.

History

Early

Birth

Phaere Vrinn, born at the 2209 a.a.H in Negeémiliel, as the First War of the Power seemed to have granted the victory to the Demons and their allies of the Confederation of the Free Peoples, was daughter of Queen Miz'ri Vrinn I.

Her mother, an ambitious dictator of the populist party of Negeémiliel, had long forged an alliance with the demons, entering in the Dark Legion in hopes to be created the supreme ruler of all the drows, and as victory seemed only a matter of time, had crowned herself as Queen of Negeémiliel.

Infant Queen

When her mother died at the Battle of the Titanizk Mountains -killed by the Emperor of the Elves, the ruler of the Venerable Empire of Whide Axis, Altarin.- Phaere Vrinn was underage and hadn't power to claim succession of her mother, and while some of her mother generals tried to held regency for her, at the 2221 a.a.H the Council of the Regents and Queen Phaere Vrinn -Vrinn II- were defenestrated, and Negeémiliel pulled out of the Dark Legion of Demons.

Deposed

The girl will escape -along with the closest advisers of her mother-, she will be raised in the exile, to become Queen Vrinn II or the Errant Queen.

Exile

Animosity

In exile, escaping the assassins send by the Higher Council of Negeémiliel, she will be raised as an Acolyte of Negeé -and as a sorceress-. Phaere and her Errant Court traveled and migrated among several drow-city states and cities, according to the shifting politics of the drow nations, seeking help in the enemies of Negeémiliel to reclaim her throne, organizing all sorts of machinations and conspiracies to return to the power with her political faction -known as the monarchists-, often having secret correspondence and contact with political opponents to the Negeémi government and prominent members of the monarchist wing of the Negeémi Populist Party in Negeémiliel.

Because of this, often the Negeémi government, while it halted -openly- sending assassins against Vrinn II, they would apply diplomatic pressure to the other drow states, each in its turn, trying to ensure her errant court -that became often as seen as a safe haven for any enemy of state of Negeémiliel- was expelled from that particular realm.

Dahl'Arak Coup

By the time of the Dahl'Arak Coup, a self-coup of the High Council of the city -dominated by the Negeémi Senatorial party and their leader, General Danieh'le Dahl'Arak- at the 2428, like many conspiracies before, it was claimed the Errant Queen to be the true mastermind behind the populist conspiracy the senatorials acted against.

Demon Alliance

Joined the Dark Legion

With the Return of the Demons Lord and the beginning of the Second War of the Power, as her mother before her, she joined the Dark Legion, hoping to regain control of Negeémiliel.

Demon Attempt to Recruit Negeémiliel

The Demons, who were reunifying the Dark legion, hoped to include yet again the southern drows -under the hegemony of Negeémiliel-, but the ruling Senatorial party, who remembered the costs of the First War of the Power and the alliance of the populist dictators with the Demons, delayed the negotiations. Finally, Negeémiliel -under the tutelage of general Dahl'Arak- will refuse to be part of the Dark Legion, facing attempted invasions of the armies of the Nigromante of Tok-Thoria and the goblins of the Bloody Apple of Hortann, along with rebellions of demonic cults among their vassals:

While the influence of Negeémiliel was reduced, the city hadn't keeled to the Dark Legion, and the Queen of the Drow remained without a realm:

Alliance with the Hakes

So when the demons -to make an alliance with the Dark Elf people native to Ushaenor known as the Hake Dark Elves- were to found a Dark Elven city with the most powerful mages of the Dark elves, Hakes and Drow, the Drow Queen married with the most powerful sorcerer of the Hakes.

Founding of a new race and the City of the Wicked

They had a son -2466- that sealed the alliance of the Hakes with the Dark Legion: Zarg'Adhuul, the Pact, the First of the Zaghäl Elves, the Dark Elf King, ruler of the City of the Wicked: the most powerful elf sorcerer in history.
