Polforian states

The Polforian states (known as well as Transdar, from Transdargoina in Sargonic and Outregam, from Outre-Gamme in Degol) were a number of mostly XXIII and XXIV century feudal states created by North Western Aelian Human, Grey elfs and Ushaerican High elves in Polforia after the First War of the Power, in the decade of the 2.220 to the Second War of the Power: while the Sovereign Military Order of Nortender survived this conflict, often the traumatic fall of Roccasone at the 2440 a.a.H that is used as a closing event of the chapter of the Polforian states.

History[]

After the First War of the Power, was seen as a necessity to occupy the lands that once formed the core of the Empire of the demons and their Dark Legion, Polforia, to avoid the demons to return and reconstitute the Confederation of Free Peoples.

During the last years of the war, it was mostly an initiative of the Emperor of the Elves Altarin, who harbored the desire of re-founding an overseas Empire of Whide Axis. However, after his disappearance and the loss of support for his imperial dreams among the Whide Axis and his commanders, the High Elven interest in founding colonies in Aels will decay.

In the Five Kingdoms of the Northwest, who suffered most heavily the wrath of the Dark Legion of Demons, it will come to be seen as an important project only after the war: but despite the initial attempts of Degoland and Sargos to lead the colonization, as it proved it would be difficult and costly, the interests of the kings shifted to internal issues and their western borders.

Because of this, the creation of the Polforian States will largely fall onto the shoulders of Military Orders and ambitious nobles. The result was a series of northwestern Aelian Human military campaigns into Western Polforia. Unfortunately for the Kings of the Five Kingdoms, these knights and nobles who ventured into Polforia after the initial foundations had no allegiance to the Five Kingdoms and so established their own states in the conquered regions:

This loss of interest among the High Elves, the strains of relations between the human kings of the Northwest and the Polforian States and the Remnants of the Dark Legion organizing themselves, the Polforian States and Colonies would begin to crumble and fall during the XXIV century:

By the Second War of the Power, all the Polforian States but the Kingdom of Roccasone and the Order of Nortender had fallen. Roccasone would be the first western conquest of the Dark Legion.

Five Kingdoms retreat their military presence to token garrisons and some fortifications in the Dargoina. Whide Axis completely abandones the colonization effort.

The Petty Kingdoms[]

2300s - 2360s. Constant wars between the Outregam realms and with their non-human neighbors.

Earthquake of 2330s make more and more isolate the region, and the crisis is worsened by the attacks of the Remnants of the Dark Legion.

With the fall of Transdar (2340), most of easternmost Outregam is practically cut out, exception being made a couple of castles in the Dargoina.

Fall of Nersan (2360) gets worried the Petty states, who decide to put aside their differences. As well, they receive some more support from the Five Kingdoms. Roccasone reinforced by settlers of failed colonies is able to resist

The Fall of Avayanti[]

With the fall the dargoinan chapter of Nortender Order at the 2370, Easternmost Outregam will be cut. Left to their own devices, the kingdom of Avayanti will fall at the 2380 a.a.H, being followed by Reivelin at the 2390s
