The Sargonic-Degoland War refeers actually to a series of conflicts fought between the kingdoms of Degoland and Sargos, often due the Sargonic inspirations to control the whole Osorio valley.

Sargos and Degoland will finally be unified, not due war but the personal union of both Kingdoms during the reign of Don Camilo II The Magnificent.

The Division of the Weseringian Empire Edit

The Treaty of Karentia of 1743, that will mark the creation of Huncle, Tardos, Sargos and Degoland was signed to put an end to 32 years of Dispute -much of it which was fouught across the Eastern and Western Bank of the Osorio.

The Sargonic kings didn't fully recogniced the eastern borders of their realm -the Osorio river, and there would be clashes between the Sargonic and Degolandic kings, much of the conflicts between the two realms of this period will be instead protagonized by the powerful dukes of the Osorio, fighting their private wars: sometimes, these ducal conflicts will drag as well into war the kings of their realms: However during this period, the official boundary of the Osorio river will be respected -thought not uncontested.

The Five Warring Kingdoms Edit

During this period, Degoland and Sargos will often clash against each other: There will be three Sargonic-Degolandic Wars (at 1974, 2030 and 2062), but as well they will face each other in the Tardic Succesion War (2086 - 2093), the War of the Five Kingdoms (2141 - 2146) and finally in the War of the Four Leaf Clover (2188 - 2189).

While Sargos was more powerful and often on the offensive, trying to conquer degolandic lands and annex Degoland to Sargos, at the end, could be considered it was a victory for Degoland, who finally got Sargos to recognice the river Osorio as the boundary between the two realms.

First Sargonic-Degoland War (1974-1986) Edit

The sargonic Huneeus Dynasty, while kings of Sargos had as well important territories in Degoland, as vassals of the Degolandic kings. The marriage of Pablo I Huneeus, king of Sargos and founder of the Dynasty to a Degolandic Princess, will relate both royal families.

While the Sargonic branch couldn't access to the Degolandic throne, at the death of the King of Degoland Pablo III -grandson of Pablo I- tried to claim ancient Weseringian sucession rights that divided the realm of the fathers among the children, rather than inhereting it to the eldest son.

This was rejected by the Degolandic nobles, but it was only an excuse to wage war against Degoland, aiming to annex it into Sargos in an unified kingdom of the Osorio.

Very succesful initially, the Sargonic where able to seize all the lands that where of the Huneeus but bounded by vassaliage to the Degolandic throne: however, further into Degoland the resistence was stronger.

After 12 years of War, Degoland was able to keep it's independence, but lost signficiative territories to Sargos.

Second Sargonic-Degoland War (2030-2032) Edit

Third Sargonic-Degoland War (2062-2066) Edit

War of the Five Kingdoms (2141-2146) Edit

War of the Four Leaf Clover (2188-2189) Edit

Sargos recogniced the river Osorio as the boundary between the two realms.

Middle Human Age Edit

Fourth Sargonic-Degoland War, The War of (2241-2244) Edit

Martin the Conqueror, Sargonic King will support the rebel Baron of Hanat against the King of Degoland. The Baron of Hanat will swear allegiance to Sargos.

Fifth Sargonic-Degoland War, Conquer of Degoland (2261-2265) Edit

Martin the Conqueror, king of Sargos, after defeating the hunclech peasant revolts of the Rivieries, turned his armies against Degoland.

Without a Casus Belli, the flagrant invasion of Degoland was renounced by many, including the Archbishop of Karentia, who threatened to excommunicate the Sargonic King.

The most succesful of the Sargonic invasions, Martin will be able to Conquer Degoland

Degolandic Rebellion (2272-2299) Edit

This conflict was actually divided in different parts.

The Rebellion of the Southern Dukes (2272-2274) Edit

The King of Degoland, Diego III, taking refuge in exile first in the kingdoms of the Outregam trying to gather support -and later, in Huncle- will never accept the Sargonic occupation.

The Degolandic nobles, who feel they where being displaced by the Sargonic nobles, and many Degolandic dukes and barons, who first had claimed allegiance to their new Sargonic king, didn't liked the more centralized and present authority of the Sargonic king, and it will derive in the rebellion of the dukes of Degauld and Hanat at the 2272, with the degolandic king traveling in secret across Degoland, to join the rebellion:

However, the rebel dukes of the south will suffer a crushing defeat against Martin the Conqueror at th 2274.

The King was again on the flee, escaping with many survivors of the rebel armies across the Dargoina to the Outregam.

Peasants revolts (2274-2276) Edit

The repression of Martin will be brutal, and while it crushed the opposition of the nobility, it will result in peasants revolts, a reaction to the Sargonic invaders ravaging the countryside.

Some of the leaders, inspired by the Commune of Öster Gate -crushed by the same Martin the Conqueror- will try to coordine these peasant revolts: however, they where never an articulated movement, and the peasant rebel armies that gathered to storm the cities under Sargonic rule will be defeated by the sargonic army early on: however, retreating to the forests and mountains, many continued to fight, being called scornfully by the Sargonic as bandits, and being treated as such.

the bloody repression, aimed to cause terror and cripple the rebelions, will instead send more people to support the "bandits", to escape from the punishment of the Sargonic army. Only a general pardon to rebels, granted by Martin the Conqueror, and the betterment of the condition of the serfs, renouncing to some of the more impopular exactions, will end the revolt.

The War of the Emigree, or the Ninth War of the Clover (2278-2280) Edit

The king of Degoland Diego III, along with the emigreés crossed again the Dargoina in the Oster Gate Pass, aiming to raise support for his cause in Huncle.

The Hunclech king, Phillipe II Vautur, while he became king of Huncle by the support of Martin the Conqueror, resented the continued presence of sargonic garrisons on his lands. La Cruz had as well suffered from the Sargonic expansion, and the relations between the Archbishop of Karentia and Martin continued to be tense:

Huncle, La Cruz, Karentia and the emigreé army of Degoland will then enter in war against Sargos at the 2278, and the campaign will be fought mostly in Trebol, The Angards and Oster Gate, and ended with the defeat of the allies by the 2280, with important territorial gains for Sargos.

The Hunclech and Degolandic kings were dead, and Sargonic garrisons occupied La Cruz, most of Huncle and Degoland: the Sargonic army was spreading too thin, but the aging warrior king still found time to wage wars in the Outregam, supporting the failing colonies of mankind, and in the Barlans, while bandit knights and peasant rebels continued to attack from the Angards and dargoinan mountains.

The revolt of the burgers of the Yper (2286-2288) Edit

Short of gold to wage his endless wars, Martin attempted to impose new taxes to the rich degolandic cities of central Degoland in the valley of the Yper, which resulted in a revolt of the emerging bourgeois at the 2286.

The rebellion quickly extended to the main Degolandic cities of central Degoland, and while at first the Sargonic saw with contempt the urban militias they raised, as unable to face the might of the Sargonic Army, the Sargonic Heavy cavalry suffered a surprising defeat in the Battle of the Yper.

This defeat will make the old king to ride back with his army from the Barlans, and will siege and destroy the seven main cities, destroying afterward their walls to avoid them to rebel again.

The Northern Rebellion (2296 - 2299) Edit

Since the conquest of Degoland, the degolandic time after time had suffered defeats against the Sargonic for about 30 years, leaded by the fearsome Martin the Conqueror.

The bloody repression of the peasants, burgers and nobles to try to quell the rebellions had only an adverse result, with more people resenting the Sargonic rule over Sargos:

The northern cities and the degolandic nobility of the north, fearing to follow the destiny of the southern nobles or the cities of central degoland, will conspire for the return of the uncrowned king of Degoland, prince Diego IV -young son of Diego III-.

However, many feared to face Martin the Conqueror, causing a delay to the open revolt: only when it was known that the old king was sick and wouldn't be able to ride again with his army, the north will burn in rebellion, as Diego IV secretly returned to Degoland, to be crowned as king in Derei.

Succesful at first, Martin the Conqueror tried to ride again with his army to supress the rebels: but as he began gathering his forces, riding a horse, he will get a cold, and die of old age in his bed in Millbridge at 2297.

With the news of his death, rebellion extended not only in Degoland, but as well there will be revolts in La Cruz, Huncle and the Kanovs of the Angards.

Spreaded too thin, the sucessors of Martin the Conqueror had to abandone first Huncle and La Cruz, retreating these forces to Trebol, and tried to concentrate in Degoland, what they considered was to be a core territory of the Sargonic Realm: while they could resist the Degolandic, raids launched by the Degolandic across the Osorio to Sargos itself -and attacks done by the Kanovs of the Angards- will finally determine the sucessors of Martin the Conqueror to sign for peace at the 2299, renouncing to Degoland

Finally, after the death of the old king -tyrant for the Degolandic-, the sucessors of Martin the Conqueror will sign the peace, renouncing to Degoland and recognicing once more the border between the two realms to be the Osorio river.

Sixth Sargonic-Degoland War (2337) Edit

The Sixth Sargonic-Degoland War was a minor conflict between Sargos and Degoland, over the tolling of the fluvial traffic of the Osorio river.

A limited conflict, it consisted only to a series of sieges that weren't brought to an end, and while both Sargos and Degoland movilized their armies and marched to the shared border -the Osorio-, before going for a decisive, costly battle, the problem was solved diplomatically.

This would be the last of the Sargonic-Degoland Wars.

The Unified Kingdom of Sargos-Degoland Edit

During the XXIV century, after the brief parentesis of the sixth Sargonic-Degoland war, there was peace and prosperity in the valley of the Osorio and between the two old nemesis, becoming increasingly lucrative trade partners.

The emergence of universities in Sargos will have important influences in Degoland, while the Degolandic art and architecture permeated further in Sargos.

The kings of Sargos and Degoland, benevolent, will try to solve peacefully most of the issues using commissions and embasadors, while the private wars of the dukes where reduced.

Intermarriage between nobles and commoners will become more and more common, and the old border of the Osorio became more and more permeable, with new bridges being built and cities emerging on both sides of it.

This peace between both nations and understanding will culminate at the 2399, with the personal union of the Kingdoms of Sargos and Degoland.

Don Camilo II The Magnificentt, King of Sargos between the 2398-2428 a.a.H , had as his first victory -a diplomatic one-: the marriage with Princess Phillipe of Degoland, making a deal with her grandfather, King Diego V, that once he die, Don Camilo will become king of Degoland, due to the lack of a male heir to the degolian throne.

He became then the first king of the Unified Kingdom of Sargos-Degoland at the 2.399 a.a.H:

In the end, won't be the sword the one to achieve the long lived ambitions of the Sargonic kings, but by marriage.

However, the union of Sargos and Degoland in a single, powerful kingdom will upset the balance of power between the Five Kingdoms of the Northwest, and will be fought the Sargonic wars between the 2407-2420).

However, the reunification of the Dark Legion and the beginning of the Second Dark Age will put an pause to these inter-human conflicts, as again grew darker the shadow of the Dark Legion of Demons.
