Wild elf descriptionEdit

The Antor Wild elves are a race of rossnes light elves who live on the plains of Antor. They live in fortified villages or a semi-nomadic lifestyle. Unlike their ancestors, they are unable to keep much in the way of possessions that don't serve a purpose. They tend to be a bit smaller Rossnes elves for being descendants of High elves, probably being descended from smaller High elf sub-races from Ushaenor.

Speculation: they might be smaller due to malnutrition and genetic bottlenecks created by the collapse of most of the High elven colonies in Zarhuy?

They tend to be tanned light skinned, with lighter hair, blonde to browns, sometimes they have unusual hair colors like green.

Wild elf HistoryEdit

The term "wild elves" is an old one in use, with a derisive meaning: In the early ages of elfic hegemony, it was given by the urban Rossnes (that later called themselves High elves) to the rural rossnes).

The rural Rossnes, the first "wild elves" that will have the name, were the elves that due to the revolution of social organization in state systems with taxes and obligations such as the forced labor, used to build the monumental structures the urban High elves constructed to proclaim their superiority, escaped from the civilization and the Proto-states, to live free.

They moved first to the borders of these city-states and kingdoms, as sedentary farmers, but the expansion of the newly established "High elves" forced them to be incorporated, or to continue their movements:

In the end of the Middle Elf Age, and with the High Elf hegemony over most of the continent of Ushaenor with a fragile league of very diverse states under the name of the "Empire of Whide Axis", the Ushaenor wild elves were limited to frontier zones, or the extensive steppes and prairies of the south, were to avoid the High Elf subjugation, many turned nomad and semi-nomad.

However, later, "Wild Elves" appeared as well in Zarhuy:

The Antorian wild elves' ancestors were High Elves, who during the Late Age of Elfic Hegemony, during the High elf imperialism of the Whide Axis empire, settled down in Zarhuy, founding colonies of Ushaverican high elf states, or new kingdoms, around the year 400 before the Apparition of Humanity.

To found these new colonies, the high elves faced and defeated the beast-men, pushed the orcs to the more hostile deserts and plains, and the "savage" Wollumis elves to the deeper rainforests, and for nearly 800 years the Zarhuyean high elf civilization shined.

However, this wasn't without problems, as a constant and permanent war with the orcs, clashes with the dwarves dwarf of Kaiehm, wars with the desert elf(ves) and jungle elves, and as well, the clashes that began to happen between the high elf zarhuycan states, away from the power of the Empire of the Whide Axis, who acted slowly into solving the conflict of the member states.

However, with the Age of Invasions, the zarhuycan high elf states had to repel more and more attacks, of beast-men, dark elves and orcs alike, weakening them.

When, after nearly 900 years of war in the plains, the orcs of Antor and Kaiehm rose victorious (502 after the apparition of humanity), the high elf states of Zarhuy were in no shape to face the new invaders: Kanov, and later, humans.

One after another, the High Elf kingdoms of Zarhuy disappeared, destroyed and conquered by the invaders.

Many high elves went to the ports, and chose to escape to Ushaenor. This was, however, only an option for the wealthier ones. For the ones left behind, they had the options to fight, escape or be enslaved. Most were slain, the cities were burned, and the elves, enslaved, or dispersed into the plains and the deserts. Some went seeking for refuge in other elven states, but many, remembering the old petty quarrels and forgetting the danger, closed the doors to them, and the ones who opened them, did it too late.

By the end of the Age of Invasions, only four elven kingdoms survived: Rohnion, hidden in the secret valley, abandoned all communication with the rest of the world, covered behind their mountains. Nortolon, having two rivers as a natural defense, and having accepted all the refugees they could, were capable of barely surviving. Thilien, ruined, was destroyed, but as the invaders only passed by, was re-settled, but as a weak, feral and almost unpopulated pillow state for Vanilion. Vanilion, once the largest and most powerful High elf state overseas, survived, thanks to permanent vigilance, their armies, navies, and natural and elf-made obstacles: the walls of their fortifications, and the mountain ranges of Vanilion. They survived, but were weakened.

But most of the once thriving high elf zarhuycan civilization lay in ruins. The population was decimated, enslaved and dispersed, and few could find a safe haven.

Some of those who couldn't, were forced to live in the hostile wastelands, will become the Wild Elves of Antor and the Sand elf(ves) of Bareds.

Forced to the wastelands, the wild elves turned from the high elf civilization to nomadic hunter-gatherer social organizations, and from the remnants of once great nations, will surge the 14 tribes of the Wild elves.

With the centuries, some will return to a semi-nomadic way of life domesticating cattle, and others will live in small rural villages.

However, despite their adaptation, these remnants of the High elf zarhuycan kingdoms will be endangered, due to the harsh plains of Antor, unforgiving to the weak, and due to the other inhabitants of the plains: humans, Kanov, orcs, beastmen and monsters...
